ERASMUS+ is turning 30!
SHARE is supporting ASEAN’s vision to build an inclusive and sustainable student mobility scheme for students in the ASEAN region. In doing so, SHARE draws on inspiration, expertise, and tools from Erasmus+, the European Union’s programme for 2014 to 2020 to support projects, partnerships, events and mobility in the areas of education, training youth and sport.
It builds on long experience within Europe of academic and youth exchange programmes and university cooperation, and is celebrating 30 years since the first students moved between European universities.
For organisations and individuals outside the EU, Erasmus+ is supporting:
"International Credit mobility":Erasmus+ funds credit mobility i.e. student mobility between 3 and 12 months (in both directions) to obtain credits in a host institution, which are then recognised by the home institution. This action also funds staff mobility of up to 2 months to and from the participating universities, which is essential as university staff are agents of change in their home institutions. “Erasmus Mundus Degree mobility”As continuation to the first programme, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees are offered by consortia of EU and – optionally – non-EU universities. High-level scholarships are provided to excellent students and staff from anywhere in the world to participate in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees. This action is open to participation from higher education institutions worldwide. For more information, click here
Capacity building:Joint projects based on multilateral partnerships to fund curriculum development and modernisation, new diplomas, modern teaching and learning practices, upgrading of facilities and equipment, improving university governance and management, and creating better links between higher education and the world of work. This action will also finance projects aiming to have an impact on national systems, through the involvement of national authorities, alongside universities. For more information, click here
